Beginning in a small facility in Humble, Texas we sought to provide our four legged family members with the quality care they deserved.
We set our business apart from other ‘kennels’ with our all inclusive rates and a wide variety of services to suite both canine and feline friends.

We currently have cat and dog boarding facilities in Katy, Cypress, Kingwood, and Atascocita. We look to provide loving care for your animals, even if you are away.
Our facilities include some unique amenities for our furry guests. We have refreshing pools, large play spaces, and separate cat condos. Our goal is to provide a happy and restful experience for your well-loved pets. Our Houston area dog boarding locations can also provide full service grooming for your pet. In addition, we also offer our proven 14 day, in-depth, training programs for you dog. Dog’s Day Inn strives to provide each pet with the individual attention they deserve.
History of Dog’s Day Inn Pet Resort
We started providing quality animal care back in 1990. We realized that there was an ever expanding need for excellence in pet care. We started Dog’s Day Inn with the idea that our pets are part of our family. They deserve a safe, comfortable, and fun place to go while you are away.
Our first location was a small facility in Humble, Texas. We sought to give our four-legged friends the quality care that they warranted. Our mission meant all-inclusive rates and a wide variety of services for both cats and dogs in Houston, including pet day care, grooming, and board. This set us apart from other kenneling services in the area.
Our Current Business and Services
Since our start, almost 30 years ago, we at Dog’s Day Inn continue to provide the best care for your pets with cat and dog boarding in Katy, Cypress, Kingwood, and Atascocita. We understand that kenneling can be difficult, both on the owner and on the animal. Rest assured that our caring staff is going to provide the best care for your pets while they are with us. We realize that there are many different reasons you may need your pet to stay with us. Common reasons are vacations, home renovations, or housing uncertainty. Our Houston pet day care services are usually accessed by hard working people. They need a safe and trusted place for their animals while they work long and often difficult hours.
Our state of the art facilities offer plenty of play and activity. Our secure play areas are stocked with a wide variety of toys to engage your dog. We also offer a refreshing pool, which provides a new activity for them. Our aqua-sise is a spectacular way to provide fun and safe activity. It is proven to be gentle on bones and joints. This is mostly a concern for overweight or older dogs.
Dogs are very social animals, and loneliness is something they feel deeply. We offer socialized play time to ensure your dog is happy and satisfied during dog boarding in Katy, Kingwood, Cypress, or Atascocita. Our staff carefully monitors all socialization while your pet is in our care. Our staff are well trained and attentive. They help ensure the safety and comfort of all the animals that stay with us. Our staffing assignment allows your dog to form a bond with a specific caregiver. This also lets our staff really know your pet, and provide the best care they can.
With all the activity your dog will get with us, they will need a quiet place to relax and unwind. The suites where your dog stays are private, and set up to give a calm but not lonely environment. Our suites are all equipped with color televisions. We provide every animal with appropriate programming over the television. This helps to entertain them while he or she gets some much deserved rest.
We could never forget about our feline friends either. Our cat condos are designed to keep cats happy. Their multilevel design gives plenty of climbing and activity space. To keep them calm, we make sure they are located well away from the dogs that stay with us. The cats are always housed in a bark free area, to avoid stressing our cat guests.
